Printed from recycled waste, these circles represent the irreversible and ongoing effects of single-use plastic on our environment. A plastic cup, a straw, a yogurt container, a coffee lid, a coke can are with us for a seemingly inconsequential moment, but these encounters with plastic add up. Consumerism solidifies plastic use as an essential part of our daily routine, an inescapable circle of waste accumulation.

This project, carried out at InstarLodge in Germantown, NY, culminated in a series of prints from single-use plastic trays as well as an artist book and accompanying gif.
